Deborah Thompson's island landscapes have been renowned for years. Her signature paintings call to mind a timeless Hawai'i with a vintage flair. She works primarily in oils and acrylics but also creates 3 dimensional sculptural plaster murals. Deborah also specializes in faux finishes and decorative painting executing projects for interior designers and clients for the past 25 years. Thompson earned a BFA in fine arts and trained classically in Paris, France at Parsons School of Design.
Thompson captures the beauty of Hawai'i with a special focus on detailed tropical botanical paintings. Having a distinct and recognizable style, Thompson's work has been sought and acquired by numerous private and public collectors throughout the United States, Asia and Europe. Thompson makes her home on the Big Island of Hawai'i in Hawi, a small, rural artists community in the middle of ranch country. She is an active part of the community and takes pride in promoting Hawai'i natural treasures and landscape in her artwork. Thompson's art can be found at Genesis Galleries at the Queens Marketplace at Waikoloa.
