About the Artist

Ed McDonald has been enthusiastically exploring the world of glass since 1972. During that time he has experimented with leaded glass, fused glass and blown glass. Mc Donald's explorations have led him to work and teach at many established studios throughout the Northwest and California.

Over the past six years Ed has worked as a glassblower and colorist for Dale Chihuly in Seattle, Washington. This experience has led to other jobs with artists such as Dante Marioni, Benjamin Moore, Martin Blank and Charlie Parriot. When not working for others, he makes his own blown work inspired by his love of the ocean and coastal living. His work can be seen internationally and throughout the United States.
