Thomas Easley

Thomas Easley is one of the finest contemporary impressionists of our time. Born and raised in the Sierras Nevada Mountains of California, Easley’s travels have taken him from Venice, Italy to India. He now resides with his family in New York. While living in England he became the first foreigner to ever be elected a full member of the Royal Miniature Society. His works have been purchased by serious art collectors across Europe and America, including the Princess and Prince of Wales and Thomas Hoving, long time Director of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York.

His vibrant and life affirming images represent the fine line we draw between works in abstract and impressionist styles. Thomas’ use of palette knives gave birth to his “extreme impressionist” style that dominates his work today. He combines several techniques using both palette knives and traditional brushes that create amazing texture and multiple contrasts. Thomas paints several series of “extreme impressionism” including his Wine series, Cocky Roosters, Intense Golfers, Sensual Nudes and Landscapes.
