Ingrid Lynch Works

Ingrid Lynch

Aloha, I’m Ingrid. As a magazine creative director I spent my days designing pages. But I was ready for a career change. I wanted to continue designing but now I wanted incorporate up cycled materials and create wearable art.

So, living in Hawaii, I spend a lot of time strolling the beaches (I know, great life, right?), I decided to fulfill an old passion of mine — finding cool ways to reuse and re-purpose discarded materials in a creative and artistic way. The first discarded item to catch my eye you might ask… sea glass! From that point on, I knew exactly what I wanted to do— turned tossed-in-the-ocean bottles and glass into beautiful handmade authentic sea glass jewelry.

As my vision of handmade Hawaiian sea glass jewelry began to unfold, I knew I had a lot to learn. Luckily, I’ve been able to participate in numerous classes at the Honolulu Museum of Art that have helped me turn my dream into reality. One of the things I loved most about my former career was coming up with visual solutions to give each story its own unique identity, not with words, but through design. Now, I take that same approach to designing jewelry so that each piece is unique and tells a story about the sea glass it holds. My designs are inspired by all things ocean whether it’s ocean waves or an urchin’s texture.

I hope you find what you’re looking for here at Tossed & Found Jewelry— between my walks along the beach collecting sea glass and having the opportunity to exercise my creativity, I know I have! Mahalo.
